I was thinking this out, and I talk to Majin about it on MSN, but really I thik what Dragonball has been missing, not sayng it's not great without it, but they really should have done more space fight, intergalactic wars and all those kinda stuff cause you know, the series is full of dealing with magic and aliens so I was just thinking that there aren't just Saiyans, Namekians, Ice-jins and the other few races in the universe right?
And obviously Saiyans aren't the only pirate race around town are they? I was just thinking what if more races showed up and actually cause a war between multiple races and all those kinda stuff you know.
Post up what you think.
Just a thought.

Re: Just a thought.
It is understandable to have another race attempt a take over of Earth.....actually no, I wouldn't want to see another battle on Earth because we're always fighting ON Earth. I do agree on the intergalactic stuff, I'm pretty sure there could be another race of alien out there that are even stronger than the Saiya-Jin but that's just it, I don't want to see another "OMG a new villian thats soooo powerful we'd all better prepare and train for it.....and then once they fight they realize they are outmatched and go "GOKUUUUUUUU!" and, of course, he shows up and saves them all by pulling a new trikk from under his sleeve."
I'd much rather they focus on a race of aliens that could overpower any of the main characters by means other than brute force or even the main warriors having to use other means of combat rather than going Super Saiya-Jin (Which, IMO, has become the main focus of many series GT and after).
I do think that battles in space would be great, hell, I actually had that kind of thing in mind when I was making my DBAF years ago.
I agree with the idea of having different species rising up, but why not take it a step furter? How about if the new series was actually focused on them. Sure, it wouldn't be your typical Dragon Ball with Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, etc., but haven't we honestly seen enough Saiya-Jin for three series?
Plus, if they were going to make another series with the main characters, make it focused on Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Pan, Oob, etc. I mean Goku did proclaim Oob the protector of Earth did he not?
Personally, a series focusing on Gohan would REEAALLY catch my interest.
Anywho, those are my thoughts on the matter.

Re: Just a thought.
Yeah the main focus had always been on Goku. There was never a time where everyone would have had to come together, like REALLY come together like some sort of Team.
And yeah, it's always happening on Earth. It's about time Dragonball takes it to the next level and quit the transformation stuff. I mean, yeah it's cool and all, but hey, we're talking aliens. Sure evolutions one thing, but then again, aliens have all these weird techno mystic stuffs of their own don't they?
Say people remember Venom from Spider-Man? The symbiote is an alien being, so there, that's an example of what kind of stuff people are really missing out in the DB Universe.
Sure there are Kais and all, but don't you just get bored when there's only Heaven, Hell, Kais, and nothing more? No extra dimension, no crisis of maybe the Multiverses actually combinding destroying and bending reality at some point?
And here's one thing I see most common: Vegeta always being the one turning evil again and again. Give the guy a break already, he's been evil a lot. I'd kill for an evil Krillin or something. The thing is that when they turn evil, they don't ALWAYS stay evil. It's always the happy ending to every saga which makes it boring. What if it was Trunks that turn evil this time and stayed evil? I mean Vegeta's blood runs in his veins, he obviously can't be all good.
And the thing about happy endings to every saga just kinda made it not fun. I mean there's no sad ending where we lose a main character or two and they never return until like what 5 sagas later do we? They always do return at the end. I mean there's no on-going kinda story there you know. Most of the time the trhead that ties each saga to one another is so thin you won't even think they make sense at all. I mean there's not much of "This provoked That" kinda stuff until the very end of GT which happens to link everything together due to the overuse of Dragonball. But then again, it's not "story-wise" kinda link. There's no exciting drama or much overshadowing that creates curiousity much there.
Just a thought you know.

Yup space battles would be an epic win! And I think it has crossed the minds of many dragon ball fans who have contemplated the continuation from where GT left off.
I would agree that the whole goku@spiritbomb solution to all the problems seems to have gotten old. I personally wouldn't mind more transformations, as long as they are creatively done and well thought through.
